Benefits Overview

The Phoenix Association of REALTORS® (PAR) has been a leader in the community since 1896 and is one of the largest local REALTOR® associations in Arizona and the United States. When you join PAR, you become part of a much larger network of real estate professionals. Your PAR membership also includes membership in the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) — and you’re automatically entitled to all the benefits from all three organizations.
Are you wondering how the Phoenix Association of REALTORS® stacks up against other REALTOR® associations? Use our comparison worksheet to help you select the local association that gives you the best value. We’ve filled in PAR’s information, as well as the details that are the same for all local associations (marked in green). We think you’ll find PAR to be the best choice! See for yourself.

Here are some of the benefits available to you as a member of PAR:

  • The right to call yourself a REALTORR

The term REALTOR® is a registered trademark of the National Association of REALTORS® and can only be used by members of the REALTOR® organization. (Learn more about the REALTOR?trademark.) The REALTOR?name and logo are valued at $4.5 billion, according to patent experts ?see a video explaining this from NAR? 2012 president, Moe Viessi.
  • A partner who promotes the value of using a REALTOR®

One of PAR's key goals is to help our members gain and maintain a competitive advantage in the market by helping consumers understand the value of buying or selling property using a REALTOR®. We do this through the consumer resources on this website, including information about how and why to choose a REALTOR®.
  • Protecting REALTORS® in the political/legislative arena

PAR, AAR, and NAR help ensure that laws are favorable to your business and to the housing market. We have a strong, powerful political voice in the halls of local, state, and national governments to:

    • battle tax increases on your hard-earned commissions
    • retain the mortgage interest deduction for homeowners
    • keep property taxes and real estate fees at affordable levels for home buyers, sellers, and owners

PAR will continue to exercise our strong political voice in Phoenix and Maricopa County, protecting the interests of REALTORS® property owners, buyers, and sellers. Learn about our political advocacy >
