RealSafe and the Phoenix Association of REALTORS® link up to promote
REALTOR® safety through technology
Crimes targeting real estate agents is a frightening experience that’s on the rise. A new app designed to deter criminal activity and monitor agent safety while on the job has quickly amassed over 11,000 subscribers since launching in September. The Phoenix Association has negotiated an affinity relationship with RealSafe to promote agent safety and provide a discount to members for this valuable tool.
President Cami Beckley stated that “The RealSafe app is the perfect accessory for your phone – agents always have their phones handy and can call for help with a tap on the screen, without putting themselves in more danger.”
The new NAR REALTOR® Safety Report states that nearly 40% of real estate industry professionals report they have felt unsafe at one point while performing duties at work. “We are thrilled to team up with the Phoenix Association of REALTORS® to raise awareness about REALTOR® safety and the precautions and tools agents can use to protect themselves or call for help in an emergency,” said Joe Risi, founder of RealSafe Technologies, Inc., creator of the RealSafe App. Real Estate agents are among the most vulnerable professionals today because they must often meet strangers alone in vacant houses and show properties in all types of neighborhoods, and the RealSafe app protects you no matter where you are,” he said.
“The RealSafe app is as much of a danger-prevention tool as it is a danger- reaction tool. By using the app to record details about clients and the locations of planned showings, real estate agents can deter criminal activity and vet clientele before proceeding with a showing and have the peace of mind that when they do proceed with a one-on-one appointment, their whereabouts and activities are being monitored in real time and help can be summonsed discretely and instantly at the touch of a button,” Risi stated.
By using the app to build a client profile each time they schedule an appointment, real estate agents can enhance their safety and efficiency simultaneously. The RealSafe App is available for download now on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. For more information about the RealSafe App visit www.realsafeapp.com
